Canada Continuing Education Requirements
FP Canada's CE requirements are now grouped into
three categories:
1. Financial Planning - * The
category of Financial Planning now includes CE focused on
professional skills. The addition of this new CE category is
intended to recognize and emphasize the importance of
developing and maintaining professional skills as a core
competency of professional financial planning. Note that CE
in the Financial Planning category must be accredited by FP
Canada.
2. Professional Responsibility -
Professional Responsibility CE now requires
pre-accreditation by FP Canada.
3. General
CE (including Giving Back) - General CE DOES NOT
NEED to be accredited by FP Canada - CE that
previously qualified in the Practice Management or Product
Knowledge categories may now qualify in the General CE
category.
